Jockeying for Rank in the Lower Astral (Nov. 26, 2007)
I made another observation/realization several days ago (though this isn't any great insight). I know that dark entities exist (have seen [both in and out of body], felt and even photographed (moving shadows, known by different terms in different cultures-- Castenedas called them 'mud shadows', others call them negs or demons), and many people have had experiences with them, even complete close-minded skeptics (coming from so many years spent in one of the most closed-minded skeptical debunking mind sets, I am still amazed that I was experiencing and observing such unusual events even then, though I simply dismissed them).
I have no 'proof' other than my own experience, and the observations/experiences of others. That said, it seems as though not only are some very prominent people knowledgeable about them, but they are in what seems to be a sort of competition to create as much suffering as possible. The only reason I can think of as to why is that there is a sort of 'vying' for position in the lower astral, a deal of sorts for rank and position. As ludicrous as this may seem, the fact that they overtly show their allegiance not only by the suffering they cause, but in gestures they make gives me no other explanation.
I know there are dark shamans/practitioners who gain power from 'feeding' these lower astral beings. Moving 'up' on a dark hierarchy only means they have much further to progress--walking 'forward' in the wrong direction is 'progressing' backwards. Those who follow this path would seem to be moving 'up the down staircase' (I don't mean to make reference to literature/plays/films, but it fits so very well). Perhaps the best analogy I can think of is those who believe euphoric drugs allow/enhance progression as they're suppressing the very emotions and wisdom needed for true progression and their lives are spiraling downward. The perceived 'power' they derive is euphoric, but false. It was never about controlling others (something a child with a loaded weapon could do in a roomful of adults), it is about controlling oneself. Once control of self is achieved the desire to control others does not exist. Simple and basic--ironically perhaps the most difficult of life's lessons.
